36 Weeks Pregnant
I am now in my 36th week of pregnancy. We went to the DOC on Thursday for my weekly appointment. This week I had my first internal exam to find out if I was dialated or not. The DOC seemed very surprised at how low I was carrying. As he put it, "I bet it feels like you are carrying a bowling ball between your legs." EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!! The babies heartbeat was good....135 beats per minute. My blood pressure was a little (very little)bit higher than normal. But, that is only because I was scared of what an internal exam involved. I mean, there is already a bowling ball in there, what else can I take! The internal was not bad at all. All that worrying for nothing. We did find out that I am not dialated AT ALL!!!! I was sure that I was about ready to deliver. Guess I was wrong. The DOC said that he suspects I will be right on time or maybe late. NOT EARLY! I am always a day late and a dollar short. I measured in at 37 weeks this week. Obviously that does not mean that I will deliver early. We are still looking at an average sized baby delivered right on time....Feb 1st.
