37.5 Weeks Pregnant

37.5 Weeks and Counting.....37.5 Weeks and Counting.....I entered my 37th week of pregnancy on Wednesday. Still no contractions. We went to the DOC today and begged for me to be induced. I only get to sleep about 3 hours a night. If it isn't rolling in every direction to get comfortable, it's getting up to go to the bathroom every 30 minutes. Number 1.. Not Number 2. The baby's heart rate was in the high 140's to low 150's. The appointment was during her active time of the day. I measured in at 38 weeks that is only a half a week ahead of schedule. I will get an internal exam next week to see if I am dialated at all. Pictures will come later. Hope everyone is doing well.

Dude! You DO NOT want to be induced. The pain of those contractions and the consistency is nothing like natural labor. Trust me! Contractions every 2-3 minutes for hours (which you will probably have with your first child) is not fun.

I am 37 weeks pregnant with my 4th baby. I feel you with getting up all the time and comfort i think is something i will feel after i give birth. I have been induced for all of mine and talking to friends i would have it no other way. Natural lasts longer being induced the contractions are narley but the labor is shorter. I for one do not want to be in labor all day.

I am 36 weeks pregnant and am constantly worrying that the baby should be moving more. Everything I read says I should feel 10 kicks an hour. I don't think I feel her move that much. Should I be worried?

Im 36 weeks and 1 day. My due date is April 8th. I am so ready to have this baby. Pregnancy wasnt so bad until these last few weeks. I wake up about every 30 minutes to pee, and i toss and turn all night long. Also the movement of the baby is so strong. She's kicks really hard that it hurts, u can actually see my stomach shift from side to side. Its scary.

I am 37 weeks pregnant. Probably sleep about 2 hours a night. This is my 3rd child and my hardest pregnancy. I have had everything you can have being pregnant with this one. I look like a beached whale and I am hurting constantly. Last week they put me in the hospital overnight to observe the baby because the amniotic fluids weren't as "much" as they would like to see around a baby. They sent me home the next day cause I haven't dialated. I NEVER dialated with my other two, the first one came at 42 weeks 9lbs, 8oz c-section, and the second one came at 6lbs, 4oz c-section. I wish they would do something to make this one come because I honestly don't think I can go another night in all the pain I have been in and with no sleep. I am worn out and can't go on much more.

I AM 40 WEEKS AND 1 DAY PREGNANT. I AM 21 AND THIS IS MY FIRST CHILD. IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN HOW UNCOMFORTABLE AND MISRABLE BEING PREGNANT IS I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT TWICE ABOUT IT. I DO NOT WANT ANYMORE CHILDREN, BUT MY HUSBAND DOES NOT BELEIVE ME NOR WILL HE GET FIXED! SHOULD I BE MAD AT HIM? FOR THE PAST 2 MONTHS I HARDLY SLEEP AND MY FEET CONSTANLY HURT. I WAS DUE APRIL THE 20. I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE. I AM SUPPOSED TO BE INDUCED IN 3 DAYS. I WEIGHED ONLY 101 POUNDS BEFORE I GOT PREGNANT AND NOW I WEIGH 142 MY SON ESTIMATES AT 7 LBS. I CAN BARELY FIT INTO MY MATERNITY CLOTHES, AND IVE STARTED WEARING MY HUSBANDS CLOTHES TO BE MORE COMFORTABLE.

I am 31 weeks pregnant and I am on my second pregnancy. This is the stage I dread from my last experience after 32 weeks it all goes down hill. I am going to be induced this time and I have to say I am actually looking forward to it. I would be a lot more concerned about going in for a natural childbirth which I had the last time. It was very quick but very painful....

I am 37 weeks and 4 days pregnant. I'm dilated at 1cm and having tons of sharp pains.. not only in my hips, but my stomach as well. I haven't had too many braxton hicks, but everything is going well. I can't wait to be done, I keep waking up everyday hoping to go into labor.

I am 36 weeks pregnant with my first. I am 21 years old. I have been doing pretty good at night getting sleep, but I have always been one to put my head on the pillow and be out of it in a split second. My feet have begun to swell along with my hands. I can no longer wear my wedding rings, and I hate it.

My hips feel like they are about to fall off my body along with hurting so so incredibly bad. And I am constantly exhausted.

I just have to complain to someone because I feel bad that I complain too much to my husband. I can't wait to have this baby, although I have enjoyed being pregnant so much. I just want to meet the little overly active dude in my belly.

I hope you all have very successful deliveries.

I am 36 weeks pregnant today with my third child. i am so ready for this to be done cuz i am worn out. i have a 3 year old and a 2 year old and i am exhausted from them let alone being pregnant too. my doctor had said that she might induce at 38 to 38 and a half weeks to put me outta my misery. i think i might just do it cuz this is getting more and more difficult by the hour and time seems to have stopped at this point!

I am 37 weeks today, I have been dialted to a 3 for 5 days and doing nothing. I hurt so bad down there, I have two other children but none felt this bad. I asked if she would induce me or stretch my cervic, but she won't do it. Please give me some ideas on how to make this go faster, like now.

I am 37 weeks & 2 days. The pregnancy has been a joy. I am 26 and this will be my first child. I am not dialted yet. I have huge heart burns and this is the only symptom that makes me go to the hospital and get induced. My husband gets a kick out of me not being able to roll out of bed or not being able to move. Can't wait for July 19th and meet this little sucker.

I am 37 weeks along (with my first) and cannot wait for our precious little girl to get here! The doctor said that I am not yet effaced nor dialated-- so I walk every night to make that happen. Think it will? I hope all of you other 37 weekers have the best of luck! :)

I am 37 weeks and so ready for this pregnancy to be over. I've been in early labor for about a week 3cm dialated 50% effaced and -1 station. Everytime I go to the hospital they send me right back home saying that my contrctions are not strong enough...UGH!!!!! This is killing me all the pain and pressure I'm feeling down there I can barely walk. I wonder why I didn't have all this with my last two pregnancies (which were boys) and now I'm having all this trouble with this little girl hopefully she comes soon..... Pray for me

Hi I am 31 weeks pregnant this week and I have been feeling lots of pains in my hips today My braxton hicks contractions have decreased since 2 weeks ago when I was having them every night and day...but now I am at ease my sleep is okay I do move around and toss and turn at night but last night I went to bed at 1:30am and I was able to wake Up fine about 7ish this morning. I just starting having pains in my pelvic area but I go to the dr's on monday to talk to my dr. for my 3 week appointment. I definately have enjoyed the pregnancy but I dont think I will be able to go through this again. I will either adopt if I have the money or I will do foster care. Either way I wnat more kids but without going through pregnancy again. Dont get me wrong its wonderful but I dont think I could go through this again. The emotional roller coaster is horrible

Last time I checked at 34 weeks he was 5pds 5 oz and since then I have gained about 2 1/2 pounds. I can't wait to see my little Jeremiah. However I don't think I'll be able to do this again.

I am 37 weeks and I am so ready for this to be over with. This is my second pregnancy and I can't remember my first pregnancy being so difficult. I go in to the DOC on Tues. and I am going to begg for him to induce. I think that I may get about 4hours of sleep at night not including all 20 times I have to go potty. I go so much I walk to the bathroom with my eyes closed, though I must admitt that running into a wall at 9 months does not make it easier.

I am 37 weeks pregnant and I too am so ready to be done. This is my second pregnancy. I do not remember being in so much pain with my first son. I am having another boy but, let me tell you night and day differences on the pregnancies. I hurt all over this time. I have had alot of pelvic and hip pressure since I was like 6 months pregnant. It really hurts now. I wake up every 2 hours approxiametly at night. I pee every 30 minutes during the day. I just thought this was a good place to vent! I love being pregnant but, I am so ready to be done this time! I go to the doctor today. Hopefully something is happening down there! Good luck to everyone!

I am 38 and 1/2 weeks pregnant with number #5. I am 37 years old and my kids range from 20 being my oldest son and 3 years being my youngest son. I cannot believe I am doing this again. I'm not sure if it's my age or what but I am tired always, it hurts when I walk. I get these shooting pains in my vaginal area when walking and now I have to pee litterally every 5 minutes. I am miserable. I cannot handle this extra weight 42 pounds I have put on.

I am currently 37 weeks pregnant and I am feeling pretty good overall. I am a teacher and I am trying to work until I go into labor, but I tell you it is hard, especially now that I have this head cold. Fluid in your lungs and a Little girl presing on them too is not too much fun. I have enjoyed the process so far, but I would not be too upset if my doctor tells me today at my appointment to go to the hospital to have this baby. Good luck to all of you and God bless

Hey, I am 37 1/2 weeks pregnant, already he weights 8.5 lbs, which i think is wonderful! I have had a pretty decent pregnancy, I've had alot of cramping this week, puking everything I eat, off and on constapation/squirts, awful heartburn, but i wouldn't change it for the world! I know alot of you guys are in tremendous pain right now from the kicks and punches, the stomach pain and back pain, all the normal stuff, but like my mother said when she was alive, "If you think it hurts now, wait till they hit their teenage years!" Please ladies take into consideration that you have a human being in your belly!! lol Its my first baby and i can't wait to have more, Im gonna miss those kicks and such!!! Best of luck to u all!!

Posted by: niomie at January 15, 2007 3:07 PM

I am 37 weeks pregnant, and I would hate to say it but I have a very sound sleep each night. It was not always like that. About week 34 I started with the tossing and turning, not to mention waking up to use the bathroom. Anyways, at that point I started to sleep on the recliner/couch. It allows me to prop my self up in more of a sitting position and still be totally comfortable. It relieved allot of discomfort on my back, hips, and legs.
I wish I would have learned that with my first child. But with everyone, I pray to go into labor each day... This is my 2nd child, my first being only 10 months. Yes, there is a reason why they tell you to wait 6 weeks after. After being pregnant for seems like 2 years, I am just ready!

Hi I am 22 yrs old and 39 wks pregnant and yet to have dialated. I hate to complain to my fiance' because he hates to see me in pain, but I feel the same as the rest of you guys. I don't get much sleep because I'm getting up every 30 minutes going to the bathroom. I have had the Braxton Hicks since I turned about 35 wks. It hurts to walk, but I doubt my doc induces my lbor, but it won't hurt to ask because I didn't know you could if you were in a lot of pain. I always thought you had to wait til it happened naturally. Thanks for the advice.

hello,I am 35 weeks pregnant showing 36 weeks pregnant. I have been told I have kidney stones. I tell you I am in a lot of pain. They say there is nothing they can do until I deliver. They basically want put me on pain pills and wait. I do not want to be on pain pills for the next month. Do you think this baby would be okay if I went and ask them to do the c-section early so i can get something done about the kidney stones. I can not handle this pain very much more.

Hi, Im 35 weeks pregnant today, this is my second pregnancy and its a boy!!! Yeah I already have a girl who's only 15 months old. I have severe back and side pains all the time it never comes and goes, unfortunatley. Anyhow im thinking about asking my doctor if i can be induced early as i can no longer take the pain anymore i cant do anything and its really getting on my nerves. I have a 15 month old daughter that is semi dependent on me to do things for her, i cant hold her let alone bath her or myself i cant even go to the toilet without being in pain, why am i in so much pain? I'm so sick and tierd of feeling nausea's and excausted in every way possible. Ive been in hospital 3 times for the pain and they just give me panadine forte and send me home. They say everything is normal and that i just have to put up with the pain and i cant any longer, so i've decided to talk to my doc today about having my son early.

Im 19 with my first kid and its a boy i am do aug 1st and cant wait to see how beautifull he is i hope my labor goes as good as the pregnancy has went. good luck to everyone

I am 36 weeks pregnant. I have heartburn terribly too. Guess what I found as a temporary cure--if you don't want to take medication--FlavorIce Popsicles. Only thing that kicks it.

Anyway, getting harder to move around. I love to feel him tossing and turning and I absolutely can't wait to see him.

I was induced with my daughter now 5 yrs old. The induction didn't actually cause my labor to take so long-it was the fact I had to have 2 epidurals because the first one didn't work. Hope to stay away from them and induction this time. The induction kind of takes away the fun of going in to labor-not know when.

Nice forum for expectant mothers!

Hi Nikki,
I was so thrilled to get your announcement of your little son! Bless you, I didn't know you were pregnant, and I so understand your begging to be induced. As soon as I got your announcement I went shopping for the little guy, but somehow your correspondence disappeared and I don't know where to send my gift. He is beautiful - what are you calling him? So glad you remembered me. All my very best to the three of you.

I only wieghed 110 lbs before i got pregnant and now i wiegh 145, it is just too much for my liitle body too handle. I have constipated diahrrea...what the hell right? Heart burn is so intense that i am constantly chewing ice...so much that i broke a filling! my ribs are killing me cuz Alyssa likes to keep her feet there...its so annoying! I HATE BEING PREGNANT and i will NEVER do it again. I even talked to my doc sbout getting my tubes tied but no one will let me because its my first child and im too young...WHATEVER...I hate this I just want it to be over. I am due on november 11th and I really dont think i can handle another month of this what should i do?

Posted by: erin at October 16, 2007 2:49 PM

Hunny i know what you mean. For my first and in the home stretch of my last... i have had heartburn like crazy. To the point where it makes me cry sometimes. If you really think that you can't handle it anymore make sure that you walk alot. It helps with the pain in the hips. Also talk to your doctor. Right now is the best time for you to vent. You don't need so much stress on you right now.

My question is has anyone here had pain in their vagina... i work and i stand on my feet for 2 hours sometimes 3 at a time before i get a break. Could that be the cause?
