Bailey: Week 12.5

We think Bailey may be teething. She has been drooling a ton and constantly biting on her writs and anything she can get in her mouth. This has caused her to be a little more fussy. We are not used to crying, because she never did it before. It has also messed up her sleeping. She is back to waking up every 4 hours at night. So, we are a little sleepy and worn out. She has been spitting up a lot more lately so the DOC said to add rice cereal to her bottle. The fussiness may be from the rice, who knows??? Post a comment if you have any suggestions. We need suggestions for sleeping? Question is, should we Ferberize her and let her cry it out at night, should we cuddle and hold her until she goes back to sleep, should I just sleep with her on my tummy? What do you think? Belly sleeping, side, or back?
Gran visited one day this week. We went shopping all day. We made out quite well....one GORGEOUS baptism dress and a CUTE romper. Thanks Gran!
You may notice in the pictures that Bailey is now trying to escape off the changing table during diaper changes. It is challenging trying to put a diaper on straight so that this doesn't happen. (I had to share this pic with everyone!) I am also quite proud of our homemade mobile. My dad was creative (or bored) one day while visiting and came up with this idea for our ceiling fan. Bailey loves to look at it.....and the TV too. I think her favorite show is either American Idol (GO BO BICE!) or The OC.
Now, what you really want....pics. Click here to see her pics from the last part of this week.

Farewell to a Good Friend

The time has come to say .. so long to our Old Friend "Tater". He has lived a long and happy life with the Northcutt's. It all started out Dec 31st 1991. He grew up in Smyrna, GA and roamed from subdivision to subdivision looking for the ladies. I remember getting on the bus a half mile up the road and seeing Tater trotting from yard to yard. I would yell from the window and he would just look at me and smile. I knew what he was doing and so did he. After 4 years in Georgia Tater relocated with us to Seattle. He then became an inside dog and Mom's very first Dog Psycology patient. She taught him everything he knew. On their return trip back from Seattle to Geogia, Mom says Tater signed his name in every state across the map. Not many dogs can say they have seen East Coast and West Coast and many staes in between. Tater has been the best dog that any family could have ever asked for. I need to say a special thanks, to Mom and Dad for taking care of him for the past many years. I found a poem on the net that fits Tater perfect.
And pain should keep me from my sleep,
Then you must do what must be done,
For this last battle cannot be won.
You will be sad, I understand;
Don't let your grief then stay your hand.
For this day more than all the rest,
Your love for me must stand the test.
We've had so many happy years -
What is to come can hold no fears
You'd not want me to suffer so;
The time has come, so let me go.
I know in time that you will see
The kindness that you did for me.
Athough my tail its last has waved,
From pain and suffering I've been saved.
Please do not grieve - it must be you
Who had this painful thing to do.
We've been so close, we two, these years -
Don't let your heart hold back its tears
So long "Tater Boy"

Week 12: Excersaucer

Bailey loves to play in her excersaucer. She just twirls around and plays with ALL of the toys. It is amazing how fast they grow.
Not much on the developmental front this week. She is raising up her body and trying to sit up on her own when we feed her. One night this week she slept 8 hours. Of course, I had to check on her and make sure she was ok. And, what do you know.....SHE WAS! That 8 hour sleeping only lasted one day. Now we are back to 5-6 hour stretches.

Week 11: Reading, Blowing Bubbles, and UGLY hairbow

Another week has gone by. I can't believe that tomorrow Bailey will be 3 months old. Wow, time sure does fly when you are having fun. I never knew being a Mommy would be so great. She fills our life with joy every single day. It is the best feeling in the world....even at 3am in the morning.
MeMe came and stayed for 4 days this week. YEA!!!! We love having visitors. Bailey had lots of fun playing with her MeMe. We love you!
Bailey blows bubbles and drools ALL the time. She also loves to have books read to her. Her favorite, and mine too, is The Napping House. It is a story about nobody sleeping....I can relate BIG TIME!!! Bailey has started to laugh this week. If we tickle her she lets out a BIG laugh. We also put a bow headband thing in her hair. It came with the outfit and on the rack it looked like the bow would be so cute in her hair....not so! I took lots of pics, but thought it was the most rediculous looking thing ever. No more bow headbands for Miss Bailey.
Now what you really want. Click here to see all the pics....there are a lot of them. I can't put the camera down

Week 10: She ROLLS and ROLLS

Bailey has been rolling over from both her front to back, and back to front, for about 2 weeks now. She rolled over from her back to her front for the first time at 8 weeks old. You read correctly....she rolled for the first time at ONLY 8 weeks old. For the past 2 weeks she has gotten better and better. Maybe she will walk at 4 months....lets hope not. I don't think I am ready for that one.
Bailey is a tennis star. She already has her very own tennis outfit....Thanks Debbie Monson! She looks so cute in the pink tennis skirt and white tennis shirt. I know she will kick butt one day on the courts just like her mommy....HA!
You will also notice that Bailey smiles all the time. There are several of her smiling in this batch of pics.
Click here to see all the pics. Enjoy!

Week 9: Trapp Family Visits
We have visitors....or should I say HAD visitors. Some of my mom's family visited us last week. Bailey was so happy to meet her Great Aunt Genie, Great Aunt Carol. 2nd cousin Emily, and Great Grandma Trapp. UNFORTUNATELY Mommy was too excited to see everyone that she forgot her camera. So, we are waiting for everyone to email us the pics that they took. Once I get the rest of them I will put them on the web.
In the mean time, I am posting pics of Bailey's bandages after her 2 month shots.....so sad! You will also notice that Bailey started wearing barrettes (sp?) in her hair....too cute. You may notice that over her right eye she has a little scratch. Somehow, while sleeping she managed to scratch herself and it even bled....so tramatic. Oh well, click here to see all the pictures. ENJOY!!

Easter and the Excersize Ball

Bailey is looking more and more like I did when I was a baby. I will post pics of me as a baby soon. She is now 9 weeks old and has already ROLLED over. The Doc said that she shouldn't be doing that until 4 months. We have started playing on an excersize ball to build up her neck strength. It is working well....thanks MeMe and Papa.
Now for the pics. I am especially proud of the black and white ones of her sleeping and the one of her cute little feet. Enjoy. Click here to see all the pics.
