Bailey: Week 15

DSC00587.jpg
Not much happening this week. Bailey has been helping me outside in the yard all week. She really LOVES being outside. Being outside has brought on some allergies for both of us....stuffy noses and a slight cough. We went to the DOC to make sure it was nothing more than allergies. We were right...just allergies. We did get Bailey weighed while we were there.....and.......she weighs 15 lbs. 8 oz. She's growing up!

On Thursday, I took Bailey to meet my 1st graders at Shakerag Elementary School. All of the kids were so excited to meet Miss Bailey and see me for the first time since I finished student teaching. Bailey was very good and loved all the excitement in the classroom.

On the developmental front.....she seems to be rolling more and more. She loves playing in her excersaucer. She can turn all the way around in it and plays with EVERY toy. She loves the chew ring on it and the lights and music too. Now what you really want....pictures. Click here for all the pics from this week. Slow picture week.

Bailey: Week 14 and 15

DSC00522.jpg
As I mentioned in the last post, Bailey was Baptized on Mother's Day. It was perfect. We have lots of pictures. She was amazing too. She just smiled and looked at EVERYONE as the Minister paraded her up and down the isle. The congregation sang Jesus Loves Me to her and she loved every minute of it. It certainly was a special day for everyone!

Well....we have had another GREAT week. Daddy has been off the entire week. So, we have really enjoyed spending lots of extra time with him. Bailey has helped Daddy put bark out and do other things to make our yard look nice and pretty. Daddy has also spent time with his new toys.....a fishing boat and an ATV 4-wheeler thingy. Every man needs his toys.

Bailey is now sleeping through the night!!!!!!!!!!!! We put her down at 9pm and she doesn't wake up until 7 or 8am. One day she slept until 8:30am. It sure does make a difference when you can get 8 hours of un-interrupted sleep. Another great thing that happened this week.....Daddy is back in my bed with me. He has been sleeping in the spare bedroom at night so that he could get a good nights sleep. Now that Miss Thing sleeps through the night, I get MY Daddy back. YEAH!!!! Although, we still put the big ole boddy pillow between us at night....some things never change.

Bailey is still rolling more than ever. Now, there is NO struggle involved. Anytime we put her on the floor, she rolls over immediatly. She has also started playing with some of the toys I have purchased for her. She loves to sit up (against mommy) and play with toys.

Bailey have been VERY blessed to get a lot of WONDERFUL hand-me-downs from her cousins Emma Grace and Maggie. I just recently organized Bailey's closet and realized that I have an addiction....CLOTHES!!! So, right now there is only room in Bailey's closet for 3-6 month clothes. I had to take all the rest out and store them in the spare bedroom. It is so much fun playing dress up. Thank goodness Bailey likes it too. Thanks to everyone who has been so kind to pass down clothes. We appreciate them so very much. I will admit that the majority of the clothes are 3-6 months. So, the closet won't stay like this forever. I have to cover my butt.....Daddy reads this website too, you know!

There are a TON of pictures from this week. Click here to see all of them. ENJOY!

Bailey: Week 13

Bailey with make-up.jpgWhat a great week! We have started to put Bailey on a schedule. She wakes up, takes a bottle, then plays for 2 hours. After that 2 hour play time, we put her down for a 1.5 - 2 hour nap. This seems to be working very well.

We found some bows that actually stay in Miss Things hair. The No Slippy Hair Clippy's are great for fine baby hair. So, in this set of pics you will notice that she has bows in her hair. When I sent my dad a pic of Bailey with a bow in her hair he went overboard with Photo Shop Pro. He thought that Bailey needed make-up on. So, with the magic of technology there is a pic of Bailey with make-up on. I only hope that when she starts to wear make-up she won't look anything like this picture.

My parents took a trip to Panama City, Florida last week. To thier suprise, it was biker week. So, the whole beach was full of Harley riding bikers. To fit in (and get in dance clubs for free) they bought do-rags to wear on their head. When they came back from Panama City they wore their rags to our house. They also thought that Bailey needed one. Enjoy those pics of OUR bikers.

Bailey is smiling more and more. She seems to stick out her tounge when she gets really excited. Too cute!

Happy Mother's Day to everyone. Mine was fabulous. My perfect day began by spending time with the most precious little girl in the world...Bailey of course. Then, Paul showered me with gifts and a homemade card. I am spoiled. He bought me a gorgeous diamond necklace. I love it....3 diamonds (one for paul, one for me, and one for bailey). Then, later that day we Baptised Bailey at Smyrna First United Methodist Church. It was perfect. That evening we went home and Daddy went out and got me my favorite desert from Dairy Queen....Cookie Dough Blizzard with hot fudge in it. YUMMY! And to top it all off...............Bailey SLEPT ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This was the first time she has ever done that. She slept from 9pm until 6:30am. YES!!!!

Enjoy the pics.
