The Georgia Aquarium---Opening Day

IMG_1721.JPG We finally have an aquarium in Georgia. We went with my family (Mom, Dad, Britz, and her boyfriend Matt) on opening day. With over 8 million gallons of fresh and marine water, 100,000 animals representing 500 species from around the globe and over 505,000 sq. ft of total space there was plenty to see. It was crowded but we were able to see everything just fine. We were worried that it would be too much for Bailey but, boy were we wrong. She loved it more than anything!!!! In fact, we all liked it so much that we are buying season passes.

You may notice in several of the pictures that Bailey is touching a shark. They have touch tanks full of horseshoe crabs, sea stars, stingray, shrimp, and sharks. Bailey loved putting her hands in the water and touching everything.

Since it was the grand opening of the aquarium, there were lots of news stations there reporting. Our very own Wes Sarginson of 11alive news held Bailey and interviewed her. Well, not much to interview a baby who can't even talk. But, he sure thought she was a cutie.

Enjoy all of the wonderful pictures of our adventure to the Georgia Aquarium!
