Madison Rose
Madison Rose made a very quick entry into the world on August 14th at 12:47pm. She weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. and was 21 inches long.
Labor was very easy and painless. I started pushing at 12:40 and 4 pushes and 7 minutes later Miss Madison was here.
Because of the quick delivery, Madison's breathing was very fast. She was taking 80 breaths per minute and they wanted her to be between 40-60 breaths per minute. Because of the rapid breathing, Madison was taken to ICU. She stayed there for 2 days. They took great care of her and within 4 hours her breathing was back to normal. They kept her there for the remainder of her hospital stay to make sure she could maintain the proper breathing and to monitor for infections.
We are all home now and doing good. Bailey absolutely loves her little sister. She does not seem to be jealous at all. She loves to help and give Madison lots of kisses. Bailey is also loving all the attention from the Grandparents. My parents stayed the first week to help out....THANKS A MILLION!!!!!! And, now Paul's mom is here helping us out....THANK YOU!!!!!
The second child has definitely been easier. I kinda know what to expect and we just go with the flow. Breast feeding is working wonderfully and we are all just trying to get in a routine. Madison is doing great at night. She already goes 5 hour stretches....thank goodness. I need all the sleep I can get so that I can keep up with Bailey everyday.
Here are the pics of my lovely girls!!!

The ONLY child.....for now!
Well, I think this is Bailey's last post before she becomes a Big Sister. I thought I better catch up to date on pics. It may be a little harder to find time to post after the new baby comes. Speaking of baby...I am set to go to the hospital on Sunday to be induced. If all goes as planned, we should have our new little girl sometime Monday afternoon.
The pictures posted start in June and go through this weekend. Bailey has grown up a lot over the past 2 months. She is working on going pee pee in a potty. She is doing well with that. She talks more than ever. In fact, the ladies at the doctor's office call her the incredible talking baby. Nobody can believe how well she speaks. The child speaks in full sentences, asks questions, tells people what to do, etc. It is quite scarry sometimes.
My best friend Alison from middle school came with her boyfriend Alex to visit over the 4th of July. Bailey had so much fun playing with them. Thanks for visiting. Come again soon.
You may notice at the end that Bailey has some new toys. Mommy is a shopaholic....and we found some good bargains lately. Now that the basement is finished, we have more room for toys. Bailey is loving her new playhouse and kitchen. Thanks Gran for the kitchen.
Bailey is a true water baby. She loves to go swimming. We go at least once sometimes twice a day. Our new pool rocks. There is a baby pool with a mushroom that pours water on you and then a humongous swimming pool. Bailey wears water wings and just jumps in. She lays on her tummy and blows bubbles and kicks to wherever she needs to go. She also loves it when we throw her in the air and let her fall in the pool and go under water. Dont worry Gran.....her floaties bring her back up. She begs for more.
Enough talk....click here to see all the pictures.
